Leeds Pride will take place on Sunday 5th August 2012 and this year will begin at Victoria Gardens, The Headrow, Leeds
In 7 short years Leeds Pride has grown to be one of the largest and certainly the most colourful events in the City bringing 23,000 people to Leeds’ streets and an estimated £1.5 million into the city’s economy.
Tom Doyle, Leeds Pride Chair said, ‘Pride is a celebration of the diversity of Leeds LGBT communities and a statement of solidarity with and by our families, friend and allies; it’s a great day out for everyone.
This years theme for pride is Sports. This has been chosen for 2 reasons, firstly it's a once in a generation that Leeds pride will be on during the Olympic in the England and secondly, we will be announcing a very special tie with a national organsation tacking homophobia in sports.
